As the Board President during the most difficult pandemic in America’s history, Steve led with the right priorities and consistently took bold action to protect students and workers, ensuring the colleges would not only survive but thrive.
Under his leadership, students and teachers successfully transitioned to remote classes, and student basic needs like food vouchers/ pantries, technology/ internet access, and housing support were prioritized and provided. He continues to confront learning losses and ensuring that the job training offered meets the needs of today’s realities.
